Important Announcement

Unfortunately, our school marquee has been down and not working consistently. Because of this, we will not be accepting birthday marquee messages until further notice.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding while we work through this issue. If you have already booked a birthday marquee message, you will be refunded for your purchase.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week

Help us celebrate our wonderful Gator teachers and staff
May 11th–15th!
Each day, we’ll share a fun and simple way students can show appreciation for our amazing team 💚

Monday – Pack Your Bags!
Students: Bring in school supplies to help stock your classroom (crayons, tissues, pencils, etc.).

Tuesday – Lunch Break!
Students: Bring a staff member’s favorite drink or snack.

Wednesday – Fuel for Success!
Students: Write a note or draw a picture for a staff member showing how they’ve helped you succeed.

Thursday – Epic Scenic Detour!
Students: Bring a flower to brighten a staff member’s day
(can be drawn, handmade, or picked from your yard).
Then enjoy dinner at Epic Wings—25% of proceeds go back to our school!

Friday – Gator Pride!
Students: Wear your Gator gear and tell our staff how thankful you are for them!

Talent Show

Thank you to everyone who attended our talent show auditions last week. We will be sending the talent show schedule out to all participants soon.

If your student is interested in participating in the talent show but was not able to attend auditions, please contact Candice at vicepresident@avocadoschoolpta.org.

Rehearsal:
Tuesday, May 26 | 2:15 PM – 3:30 PM

Dress Rehearsal:
Wednesday, May 27 | 2:15 PM – 3:30 PM

All participants must attend rehearsals.

Save the Date: Glow Dance

Join us for our 2nd Annual Glow Dance.

Date: Friday, May 15, 2026
Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Location: MPR

Entry is free.
RSVP here to receive a free glow bracelet.

DJ NTB is back, and Cocinita Express will be selling food.

Glow packs will be available for purchase at the door for $5 and include:
• Glow ring
• Glow bracelet
• Glow glasses
• Glow necklace
• 2 glow sticks

All students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The first 30 minutes will feature lower music volume to create a more comfortable, welcoming environment for all. Noise-cancelling headphones will also be available to borrow.

We will also have glow face painting and glow games.
